Trick How to Stabilize the EVDO Signal with Modem AC2726

Honestly when I first use the Smart AC2726 modem because I was a little disappointed in my house although have full EVDO signal but can not browse at all, even when I am usually browsing mode setting using "1x". And even then very slow and sometimes broken.

Finally I started browsing the how to keep the EVDO signal is more stable both for browsing and downloading. From some sites I clay including forums on the Internet that discuss the EVDO signal problem, it turns out most of the suggested making out with Wajanbolic antenna connected to the modem port Smart, and the price is quite expensive in my opinion, about 200-300ribu dollars.

Because it does not correspond to my expectations, I was browsing the site again and found the people of Pakistan. He suggested two ways that I think is very simple and does not cost much, namely:

The first way is: Taking advantage of the CD / DVD that has no content (already in-burning),
The way the two are: By wrapping the cord around the modem.

If you're hoping for a "Blog it and they will come" field of dreams, you can forget that. Recent statistics from blog search engine Technorati show that a new blog hits the Internet every 7.8 seconds! Sheesh, talk about having to rise above the noise level to be heard, how in the world are you going to get eyeballs glued to your blog when there is so much competition out there?

Unlike e-zine subscriptions or autoresponder mailings, it's not the quantity of visitors that counts, it's the quality of the visitors as well as how often they return to continue reading your blog.

Quality, in this case, refers to how often they click on revenue-generating links in your blog and how often they buy something that you're blogging about. Of course, if you're operating an altruistic blog that has no revenue-generating features, then you are only concerned about how often the readers return to bask in the illumination of your knowledge, expertise, biting sarcasm or humor.

Either way, those are the two measurements of a successful blog. Now don't get me wrong, the number of readers is important, of course, but it's better to have 1,000 faithful readers who return regularly than it is to have 5,000 readers who come once and you never see them again after that.

There is no free traffic!

I love when bloggers say "I won't pay for traffic. I can get it for free". Nothing is "free" my friend. You will either pay for traffic with money or you will pay for traffic with your time. Neither way is "free".

A) You have more money than time.

If you are so blessed, then you need to develop an advertising plan to help you spend your money wisely. B) You have more time than money.

You've got a great blog going, the few people who show up already absolutely love it, but you're in a financial crunch. Is there any hope for you?

Yep, there's plenty of hope. What you'll need though is a lot on ingenuity and the time to turn your smarts into traffic. Believe it or not, you should still develop an advertising plan because even though you're not spending cash, you are spending time. Time IS money and if you waste time then you're wasting opportunities to get traffic to your site.

No matter which way you end up paying for your traffic, time or money, you should first make an investment in buying some "knowledge" from people who have already been there, done that and got the T-shirt. That way you can spend less and get more bang for your buck or your time.

Unique content is King. Search engines love new, unique and updated content. If you produce new content at a rate of just one reasonably sized page per day and tied in with the other advice throughout the site, I can almost guarantee you will get good listings. Remember though, write for the visitors but cater for the search engines. If your field of expertise fits into a niche in the market, all the better for you but you must get unique content all you will fall behind.

Page Structure. Search engine bots can sometimes get confused with poorly coded html, javascript and other web languages. If the bot has to wait too long or cannot decipher the web language then it will just abandon your site and move on to the next, even if it manages to get through the code it usually leads to poor search engine indexing of your website. You should also keep to widely used file extensions like .htm, .html, .php, .asp for your pages.

Loading Speed. The loading speed of your website should be kept to a minimum, if it takes long than 5 seconds on 256kb+ connections then you lose visitors - both real and search engine bots. There are a variety of reasons why pages can load slowly, it may either be your web server, poorly coded server side code like php or client side code like javascript which can slow or even stop your page from loading.

Visitor Navigation. This is more an aesthetic feature of your website focused at real visitors but you need to have some sort of standard navigation that is the same throughout your whole site. People can be put off and leave your website if they find it difficult to browse easily, search engine bots may also miss links if they can only be found deep within your site. Try to make as many internal links as possible available on each page.

Site Hierarchy. Site hierachy can be great for adding keyword density to your web site. An example of site hierachy working effectively would be this page, seo-advice.php. Avoid Blackhat SEO. 8 Top Things Google Looks For Ranking Your Website’s Pages

Although Google looks at over 100 different criteria (which can change in importance over time) for ranking pages, here are the top aspects or elements that are currently deemed a “must-do” if you are serious about a top ranking. Other elements will be discussed later on that are also important.

The following are listed in approximate order of importance, with the first two items being more important than the others:

1. Keywords used in link text – both on your site and especially on other websites that point to your site. And the more links you have on other sites that point to your site and that contain your most important keywords, the better, all else being equal. (This is extra important if you are targeting broad, generic or otherwise “competitive” search terms)

2. Keywords used in the title of your Web pages (between the tags).

3. Keywords used in headings (H1,H2) and in the body of your Web pages.

4. The PageRank (PR) of your web pages, which in turn is dependent on the number of links that point to your site from other sites. The importance of these incoming links in turn is dependent on the PageRank of the linking page, which in turn is dependent on the number of incoming links to that page, and so on.

5. Web pages that contain at least 200 words of relevant text content. The more web pages on the site, the better chance of ranking well for a larger number of keyword phrases.

6. How often the content on your site is updated. You should update your site once a month if possible.

7. How fast you are obtaining new links (too many links too fast is a bad thing).

8. How old the site is, how old individual web pages are, and how old links to a site re. In general, the older the site and the older a link is, the better. So don’t wait unnecessarily before launching a new site, a new page or obtaining new links to your site.

Put simply, to rank well on Google, you need to optimize your website for your best keywords, get as many important and relevant sites to link to your site as you can, make sure the text of those links contain your best keywords, and don’t do anything that looks “unnatural”, “manipulative”, or “spammy” to Google.

When setting up your website for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on Google there are several factors you need to look at in order to obtain a high rank on their search engine. Of course your content and meta tags must be inline with positive density percentages and reciprocal links. Google then takes your website and performs a mathematic equation and places a numeric value on your website depending on one of the most important features, reciprocal or back links.

A back link and reciprocal link are identical. They both say the same thing to the Google engine, that your site should be ranked higher in the order because other people find value in what your website has to offer, thus they provide a link to your site. In turn, you keep a closed loop by reciprocating the favor to the other website by extending the same courtesy of a back link. Thus creating a solid network connection. Google likes to see interconnectivity and will reward your website well for planning it this way.

There are drawbacks to the equation. As things change a website that you are affiliated with may drop a hyperlink or a page may get accidentally deleted. When the Google robot goes through your website and finds a dead link it notes that you aren’t keeping good care of your website and punishes your web rank by reducing its point value. If you wish to know what your sites current point value is download The Google Toolbar and search for your website www.yourwebsitename.com in the box and perform a Google web search. Upon reading the full URL, Google will go directly to your site first thus pulling up your home page. There on the toolbar will be a page rank for your website between 1 and 10. 1 being a less visited and noted website and 10 a site that screams traffic 24/7.

Some of the individuals you share reciprocal links with may in fact scan all their links for continuity, should they receive a bounce back for a broken link on your website you can be assured you will receive an email from them. Keeping your website in balance with other sites you share links with will keep the Google engine happy. If you go off and add a company that is not Google friendly, meaning they have no back links you may also lose points.

There are many factors that make blogs much better than normal WebPages including the speed at which blogs are indexed, ability to submit to blog directories & normal directories, pings and track backs. All these little things can help drive more traffic to blogs. Here are 15 popular techniques you can use:

1. Create at least four keyword posts per day. Most of the top blogs such as Boing Boing, Daily Kos, and Instapundit (with literally tens of thousands of visitors per day) publish an average of 30 small 100-150 word posts per day according to "Secrets of the A-list Bloggers: Lots of Short Posts" by TNL.net

2. Submit to My Yahoo! When you submit your own RSS to My Yahoo it is indexed by Yahoo.

3. Submit to Google's Reader. When you submit your own blog RSS to Google's Reader the Google Blog Search will index your site.

4. Add a relevant link directory to your blog and trade links like a demon possessed! Although it may take more time than simply submitting to a search engine one time, this method is perhaps the best way to drive traffic to your site. Use software such as Zeus to speed up the link trading process.

This post on a popular discussion forum set me thinking - and I came up with 12 reasons you should blog.

Read them and get started on your blog. Or better still, go get your blog up and running and THEN come back and read this :)

#1 - You Do Not Need To Know HTML

One of the biggest hurdles many hopeful website creators face is they don't know to design a webpage. Blogs overcome this - all you do is type into a box, and the blog software automatically converts it into a webpage and publishes it on the World Wide Web for anyone to see.

#2 - You Are 'Forced' To Keep Your Content Fresh

Blogs are essentially online diaries. It doesn't make sense to write in your diary every month or two. Similarly, running a blog itself 'forces' you to update it often. And refreshing your blog often makes it more useful to readers and consumers - and by extension, to search engines who are in the business of presenting *their* clients with valuable resources.

#3 - Your Blog Is AUTOMATICALLY Optimized For Search Engines

Search engines love fresh content. But that's not the only way blogs are powerful tools to rank high. Indeed, most blogs are structured to offer a high degree of search engine optimization.

All sections of your blog are linked together. The terms used as link 'anchors' are keyword-optimized. Categories can be created to host themed content. Navigating through your blog is intuitive. Archives can be customized, and generate hundreds of pages of content that act as 'search engine spider bait'.

#4 - You Get A Built-In Linking Structure

With very few exceptions, most blogs are structured to be a tightly integrated network of links - to other sections of your blog! It's quite easy for a visitor to get 'lost' within your blog... without ever leaving it.

Calendars link to posts on specific dates. 'Recent Post' listings point to your freshest content. Archives connect all your earlier posts. Search boxes let browsers look for certain kinds of content. And it all happens automatically, without you spending hours on creating a link structure or sitemap!

#5 - You Generate Multiple Content-Rich Pages

Every post you make on your blog is content. And by intelligently setting up your archiving preferences, you can turn each post into many different forms of content, each on a page of its own. Blog regularly for a few months, and you could end up having a 100+ page website - all filled with relevant, keyword-optimized, themed content!

#6 - You Can Keyword-Optimize Your Blog Extensively

All parts of your blog's template can be customized. And a very powerful way to do it is by inserting relevant keywords. It's a do-it-once job that will give you ongoing benefits for as the life of your blog. You can include keywords in your blog title, description, blog post headings, trackback links, comment invitations, archive titles, and category names.

#7 - You Create An Online Community

If your blog is on a specific theme, you can build a loyal readership and develop an online community. You can even take it a notch higher by tying it in with a forum or membership site. Many website owners all too often give up on their website, even before their site has had time to shine. It can take months, or even years to reach the optimum for a business so why not expect the same out of a website? It is hard to find a business that finds the desired revenue within the first year. So why should a website be as popular as it should be within the first few months or years?

First of all just like any successful business you must believe that you'll succeed and never give-up. To be successful with a website you must have the same mentality, never give up and always put time and effort in. Giving up is the single major problem, if you give up on your website too early it will fail.

I have built many website over the years and found that what I have set out for you in this article will work, and keep on working.

Secondly, you need to increase your traffic, or hits to the website

Thirdly on the list, make sure you have branded your site well. People want to remember you and believe your site is quality. So build a clean and functional website that is appealing to your potential customers. The more professional your site is, the more you will impress the visitors.

Fourthly, one of the most important parts to a website: Quality content. You must have quality content. Always make sure you are original and unique. By having quality and informative information on my websites has benefited me to no extent. I found one of my website advertised on eBay. Not only was my site featured in an auction, but they were referring to my website and the products I sold. This alone gave my website over 40-50 extra hits from the eBay website alone, per day.

Not only did I find my website in eBay, but I found it in many other websites. I took a look at my link popularity and found my link popularity had risen from 60 to 300 within six months. These links were from quality websites and all were talking about my website as an example. No wonder my websites visitor count was dramatically increasing!

Fifth. Now that you have a quality and possibly a very well established website, you need to advertise. Advertising can be very expensive, and often not rewarding. So why not allow people to make money reselling your product or service?

I have found that every successful website I have setup, has an affiliate programme. Not only does an affiliate programme allow you to receive more new customers but it also increases your link popularity. As you all know, increasing your link popularity is something we are all trying to do.

I have found that affiliate programmes are the most important part to any website that sells a product or service. There is no other way to beat the free link popularity and the added bonus of extra sales you would not have had earlier. I cannot guarantee that you will quadruple your revenue, but the above information given will ensure that your website has a positive future and will prosper into a successful website. I have used every single example in the implementation of my current websites, and has worked for me. There is no time limit to how long it will take, although I have found a six month old website can quadruple its revenue within six months!

7 Reasons to Switch to Firefox

The Firefox browser has exploded on the scene. At the time of this writing there have been 23 million downloads of this innovative competitor to Internet Explorer. Minor drawbacks aside, most who use it love it – myself included.

One stand out feature is the customizable search bar that’s built into the Firefox menu bar. As a long time AOL user I had 10 hot keys set up for sites I visited all the time. With Firefox all I did was set the search bar up with those very same links. Suddenly what seemed like a reason to mourn the loss of AOL vanished.

Then there’s tabbed browsing. This is a new way to use a browser as you can access more than one page in a single browser window. Which makes it easy to switch back and forth among multiple web pages. Makes for a great time saver.

But a big benefit is the ability to install little applications that perform specific tasks. In the FireFox world these are called “extensions”. If you’re like me you’ll find extension are sorta like potato chips – you just can’t have just one.

So let me share my 7 favorites. I believe they will save you time or effort while enhancing your FireFox experience.

Favorite Extension #1: Auto copy
Auto copy is a killer keystroke saver. You’ll never Ctrl-C again. Simply highlight the desired text on the web page with your mouse and it’s instantly copied to the clipboard. Jump over to whatever application you want to paste that text into, paste it and you’re done.

Favorite Extension #2: ScrapBook
How many times have you book marked a site only to return and find it changed? Or worse it’s vanished? That makes the ScrapBook extension the web researcher’s indispensable friend. It lets you take a snapshot of any page. Or you can grab just a chunk it. ScrapeBook keeps such snapshots organized and even lets you add comments if you like.

Favorite Extension #3: TinyURL Creator
How often do you want to sent a friend a URL only to discover it’s a mile long? Like this one for instance?

Okay so this technically isn’t an extension. It’s more of a killer built in feature that will stop pop ups dead in their tracks. I mean there’s nothing like seeing this message “Firefox prevented this site from opening a pop up window” to give you a warm glow inside

Favorite Extension #5: Google Pagerank
Want to know the Google PageRank of a page? Sadly the Google Toolbar only runs in Internet Explorer. But never fear. If you like to eyeball PR, say to check out potential link partners, the Google Pagerank Status extension displays pagerank. Even better it’s also in numeric form so you don’t have to mouse over to see the PR. .

Favorite Extension #6 LoremIpsum Content Generator
Whenever you need some quick content to check a web page layout this is your tool. You can tell it to create so many characters, words or paragraphs. Giving you a variety of “Latin-like” content like this in the blink of an eye:

Instead of copying a snippet from a page and then going back and grabbing the URL you can do it all with one tool. Copy URL. Another addictive research tool.

So you want to increase your Adsense income? Log into your Adsense account, and look at your last month's stats. There are three key areas that contribute to your earnings: Impressions, Clickthroughs and Effective CPM. Improving your stats in any, or preferably, all of these three key areas will increase your Adsense earnings.

Impressions

Impressions are the number of times your webpages with Adsense ads have been viewed. You can increase Impressions by increasing traffic (preferably targeted traffic) to your webpages. Some of the best ways to increase targeted traffic to your webpages include:

-create more webpages, with relevant, focused content
-create more links to your webpages
-list your website/s under relevant categories in more directories
-set up a directory of relevant sites on your website and accept relevant

Clickthroughs

Although you can't dictate which Adsense ads show on your site, you can
influence the relevance of the ads by maintaining a tightly focused website. If every page on your site focuses tightly on the site topic, its more likely that the Adsense ads will too. For example, if every page of your site is about fishing, and the word 'fishing' appears several times on every page, its likely that your Adsense ads will relate to fishing.

The best way to tweak your ad format and placement is to invest in an Adsense Tracker, and test, test, test! People who have done this tend to suggest that the best format is the large rectangle, with background and border the same color as the page behind it, so that the ad blends into the page. The best placement is towards the center or top left of the first screen of the page. Try these suggestions first, and then track and test, to be sure of what works best for your pages.

Effective CPM

Effective CPM is a measure of your average earnings, per thousand clicks. You can increase your Effective CPM by selecting topics that attract high bids from Adsense advertisers, and building pages and whole websites on higher paying topics.

Although Google doesn't release information on Adsense bids, you can get a good idea of the top paying topics by looking at information on Adwords bids, or, for that matter, bids on pay-per-click search engines like Overture. There are a number of keyword research tools available, both free and paid, that can help you find high paying topics.

The Formula

So now you have the basics of increasing your Adsense income. Its a deceptively simple formula:

-Build pages and websites on high paying topics for the best Effective CPM.
-Format and place your Adsense ads for maximum Clickthroughs.
-Promote your sites to drive targeted traffic to your Adsense webpages for maximum impressions.

Introducing PageRank - Shattering The Myth

One of the most fascinating aspects of the web is its dynamism. We all know that it develops at an astonishing speed - yesterday's craze is today's old news, and bigger and better things seem to be springing up every few days. Some of them crumble quickly into dust, while others seem destined to tower above the rest.

Naturally, search engines also follow this pattern. Some of the early search engine giants remain with us today, but many of them are gone - and every so often, a new champion seems to emerge. Recent years have seen the growth and development of a search engine that puts all others to shame. It might have once stood at the same level as its rivals, but there is no doubt that for now at least, Google rules the web.

Many of the companies we work with see more traffic from Google than all the other search engines put together, and there are more than a few Search Engine Optimisation services who focus almost exclusively on this one engine.

What is Google's secret?
So why is Google so successful? The answer is simply that when a user goes searching on Google, they're likely to find what they're looking for, and more quickly than on any other search engine. Exactly how Google manages to do this is trickier to answer, as they tend to guard their secrets well. They don't want us to know too much about how they determine their search results, simply because they don't want anyone to be able to manipulate their own ranking.

Of course, human nature dictates that many of us aren't satisfied with this. We desperately want to be able to affect the ranking of our sites, and some of us will go to great lengths to do so. We work hard to find the perfect keywords, tweak our meta tags and optimise the content of our site to what we hope is Google perfection.

But recently, a new word has entered our vocabulary, and is surrounded by so much hype that very few people actually have a realistic understanding of what it is - or what it isn't. PageRank is where the attention is focused today, and many companies are determined to find a means of improving their magic number. "I want to be an eight," they say, as if PageRank was a dress size that they could grow into with the help of some heavy-duty calorie shots. Unfortunately, it's not quite as easy as that.

So what exactly is PageRank? There's a surprisingly simple answer: it is Google's way of estimating how important a web page is. On a basic level, Google decides that if one page links to another, the second page must be considered important. If one page on one site has 15,000 pages linking to it, it must be for a good reason, right?

Page Rank is about pages, not websites
Let's begin by straightening out a few basic points. First of all, PageRank is assigned on a page-by-page basis. A whole website does not have this score, and different pages within a site can have very different PageRank values assigned. Another important point is that the rating (out of ten) assigned is essentially little more than an approximation of a given page's PageRank. The actual values cover a far greater range than zero to ten.

Before going any further, we should take a look at the most important point of all, often overlooked when we get caught up in the PageRank frenzy. PageRank is only one factor that Google takes into account when displaying the results of a search. There are still other factors of equal significance in performing well on Google - so don't make the mistake of thinking that you would live happily ever after if your PageRank was a little bit higher. Other factors include a page's title, and the use of keywords within the page's text - not in the keyword meta tag.

PageRank is still one of Google's more ingenious strategies, and is certainly one of the many reasons that it stands head and shoulders above the rest. Partly, this is due to a combination of two factors. Firstly that the very nature of PageRank is difficult (but not impossible) to manipulate, and secondly that the exact details of how the value is assigned is a closely guarded secret.

However, there is one very useful source of data - an academic paper detailing the formula used to calculate PageRank from Google's early beginnings as a university project. This formula will have certainly been altered and expanded over the years, but it is generally accepted that it still represents the essence of their PageRank system

The Page Rank Formula
The exact details are lengthy, and far beyond what I am capable of dissecting. But the basic formula is as follows:

PR(A) = (1-d) + d (PR(T1)/C(T1) + ….. + PR (Tn)/C(Tn))

PR(A) is the PageRank of a particular page (A) - not a website as a whole.

1-d is the dampening factor, as explained below.

PR(T1) is the PageRank of the page that links to our (A) page, and C(T1) is the number of links contained on that same page.

The formula is repeated throughout every single page that contains a link to this (A) page.

Two important points to take into account. First of all, if you're thinking that the formula would in practice be an infinite loop, then you're correct. This is the very nature of the web itself, and is also why Google has introduced the so called dampening factor.

The second point concerns the way that PageRank is awarded by one page to another. The generally accepted means of understanding this is to consider that a given page has, according to its own PageRank, a certain amount of voting power. If the page in question links to five other pages, then each of the pages being linked to receive their PageRank "award" of one fifth of the original page's voting power. It's also worth noting that the number of links on a page includes a website's internal links.

Link farms don't work
This makes it quite obvious that the so-called link farms, where each page of a website contains many hundreds of links in an attempt to artificially boost so called "link popularity", are doomed to fail from the start. In addition to this, Google has its own system for not only minimising the effect that these sites have, but eliminating it altogether. As the formula shows, PageRank works as a multiplier of a site's overall value, so Google has made sure that link farms have their own value of zero - which means that a link from them counts for nothing, quite literally.

There is a scare story doing the rounds which claims that being listed on link popularity sites, or for that matter any site with a large number of links, can get your site penalised or even banned from Google. This is simply not the case. If it were, you'd effectively be able to wipe-out your competition's Google presence with one afternoon's work. It doesn't work that way.

Having links to your web pages on sites with a low page rank and a large number of links means that the benefits are quite effectively minimised to zero. But this will not detract from your current PageRank at all.

Obviously, what people really want to know is whether PageRank can be manipulated. In the past it was often considered impossible to do so, but nowadays this is not always the case. There are two simple factors involved:
Firstly: who links to you, and how they choose to do so. Secondly: your own website's navigation and internal links.

Clearly, the sheer number of pages linking to you will not influence your PageRank. Of far greater importance is the PageRank of each of these pages, and how many links appear on them. Common sense certainly needs to be applied here. In theory, one simple way to improve your PageRank might be to have Microsoft link to you from the front page of their website. In practice, this might be a little difficult to achieve.

It is already quite clear that linking out to another website, even if it opens in a new browser window, actually involves potentially giving away a lot more than a little space on your website. My advice would be to look at your link exchanges as you would your food. You always want to make sure you're not leaving yourself hungry, and if you do choose to share, be selective. Exchanging a piece of your sirloin steak for a small piece of stale bread, shared between hundreds of people, is far from an even trade. If you're doing so to help another site, as an act of charity, then this is fine and well, as long as you know what you're giving away. Choose wisely.

Well-known websites and their PageRank
Now that we have a basic understanding of how PageRank works, let's take a look at some of the more well-known websites on the web today, and see how their main pages perform.

Finding out a page's PageRank is couldn't be simpler. Follow the link to Services and Tools from the Google home page, and find the Google Toolbar. After installing the software, a bar appears at the top of the browser showing a value for each page you're visiting. Hold the mouse over the bar, and you'll be told the page's PageRank - a score out of ten. As already mentioned, this figure is little more than a representation of a page's actual PageRank.

Not surprisingly, very few pages score ten out of ten, and those that do includes the likes of Microsoft, Yahoo, Google itself, AltaVista, Adobe, AOL, Mozilla.org and others. In other words we're looking at the biggest of the biggest websites - and not something that most of us could ever hope to achieve!

Of course, there is a simple reason that search engines and directories have such a high PageRank. Not only do they link to a huge, ever-growing list of sites and pages, but more importantly, a truly staggering number of these sites and pages link back to them. When you consider the importance of reciprocal linking, you start to understand why they do so well. With Adobe, you only need to consider the sheer number of web pages out there that link to a PDF file (with links to Adobe for their free reader software), and you will see why they have achieved such a high number.

A nine out of ten score still puts you within a very small minority of the web. Should you be able to achieve this high a PageRank, you'll be rubbing shoulders with the likes of MSN, BBC News, Winzip and Internet.com. We're talking about the web's upper classes here - not really attainable for the majority of normal website owners.

Eight out of ten starts bringing you to the "reachable" web. You'll find sites such as CNN, TuCows, Simtel, the Association of Shareware Professionals, the Shareware Industry Conference site and Lockergnome.

A PageRank of seven is starting to appear reasonably attainable, as long as we're willing to work hard on the content and reputation of our site. The sevens include companies such as D-Link, MSNBC, CNET's Download.com and our very own SharewarePromotions.com.

Don't lose your perspective!
At this point, a little perspective might be in order. A critical point to remember is that PageRank only plays a part in performing well in Google. PageRank's primary aim involves ranking the results of a search - but in order to show up in the search to start with, your site needs to be properly optimised and have good, solid content. So contrary to popular belief, the era of Search Engine Optimisation is far from over. It's only had a new, interesting factor thrown into it.

Finally, a note of caution. This article has been an attempt to very briefly summarise an enormously complicated subject. Aside from constraints of space, much of the workings of PageRank remain shrouded in mystery. The ideas presented are based on available data, known facts, speculation and my own experience - but none of it should be considered as insurmountable fact!

PageRank is undoubtedly an important factor in how much traffic you will receive from Google. It is, however, merely one component in your arsenal of tools to win the battle for one particular search engine. Even with the constantly evolving web, and the ever-tightening systems employed by the search engines to quantify the usefulness of a website, content is still by far the most important factor, and will invariably form the base on which everything else is built. Be seen, be sold.

Page Rank. We all know what is. We all want to rank higher. Higher rankings mean a lot of things to a lot of people. To web masters it means achievement. They have accomplished a move in the right direction. A high page rank to a website owner is money in the bank. It is also an impressive accomplishment. To other website owners your page rank may be a source of envy.

To Google your page rank means quality, importance and relevancy. It lets Google know you are a viable resource and a valuable asset. Google takes your Page Rank and combines it with their text-matching techniques. This, combined with a page¡¦s content and the content of the pages linking to it, determines if your site is a good match. So, a higher Page Rank will certainly help you on Google.

As for surfers. Most of them could care less about your Page Rank. In fact, many of them don't even know what it is. However, those that do use it in a different way. Some use it as a way to unofficially gauge your credibility.

Ok, I am sure you've been wondering when I was going to tell you about how to achieve a ranking like I did. I went from a 0 Page Rank to a 5. I did exchange links with about five directories related to my site¡¦s topic, but that was it. Actually, 97% of my links are all one-way links (links pointing to my site).

So, how did I do it? Any ideas? If you know SEO you may already know the answer.
Link Farms? Of, course not. We know Google will frown on that method. Did I design or optimize sites and add my URL? Hmmm..Yes! However, that is a small percent of the success. SEO companies don¡¦t usually add their URL to sites they have optimized. Ok, so what else?

Content? Yes, content is king as always. Content is what was used to help boost my ranking. But how?

I create articles. These are quality articles, just like the one you are reading now. These articles were not generated from any program. I authored the content from my own knowledge and researched over 100 web sites that accept articles in my area of expertise. SEO happens to be a very popular topic. These sites agree to post my articles on their site, along with my url(s). Many of these sites have a decent Page Rank of their own. Their rank will transfer over to my site. Also, as time goes by, those articles will have a PR effect of their own which will transfer to my site(s). Don¡¦t forget, other people may pick these articles up and use them on their site as well. They will also include my URL(s) on their sites. Now, if I do 100 sites a week times four articles a month, that's at least 400 articles a month. The last Google update was 86 days, the longest has been 111. That could lead to 1200 or more links between updates. What will Google think about all these links at once? They¡¦ll love it! Content, quality, one way links. I also promoted my blogs and my website in some of my articles. This way, they too have their own PR generating effect. They also link to my site and my site to them. This, in turn, increased the PR to them as well. At the time of this article and the most recent Google update, one of my blogs went from 0 to 3 and the other 0 to 4 all in the same update.

These tips should help you increase your page rank. The hardest part will be creating content related to your field and finding sites that will post your work. You can always hire writers and/or article submission services. Here's to the next Google update. Cheers!

On 1 December is celebrated as World AIDS Day, but did you know the history of AIDS day, and why to use the emblem Red Ribbon (Red Ribbon)? Here I want to share information on the beginning day of AIDS red ribbon symbol, as well as prevention, that I got from various sources.

The concept of World AIDS Day originated from the Summit of Ministers of Health for AIDS Prevention Program in 1988. Convert Waste Oil Into Ethanol

2) Google loves sites that have a lot of links pointing to them because this means other webmasters hold your site in high regard, and Google assumes this means the content is useful. And naturally, if you create a useful site, other webmasters will link to it because this makes them useful to their visitors (thereby developing site loyalty), and they gain credibility and authority because they're associated with you.

So how can you get free content for your website?

Three words: 'free reprint articles'. There are hundreds of thousands of people out there writing high quality, helpful, informative articles on virtually every topic imaginable, then giving these article away to any webmaster who wants to publish them on a website. Janganlah biarkan hal ini terjadi pada diri Anda. Janganlah membiarkan orang lain menentukan pendapat Anda terhadap diri Anda sendiri. Kebahagiaan seseorang akan terwujud ketika ia melakukan hal-hal yang membuat citra dirinya positif. Ingatlah bahwa Andalah yang memegang kendali pembentukan citra diri positif Anda.

Step 5:
Always Remember Your Past Success
Terlalu lama bernostalgia dengan kesuksesan masa lalu adalah salah satu hal yang sering menghambat laju sukses seseorang. Namun kesuksesan masa lalu dapat kita pakai sebagai pelajaran untuk mengulangi kesuksesan yang akan datang dan dapat digunakan sebagai amunisi yang dapat memacu Anda untuk mengejar tantangan yang lebih besar lagi. Cara terbaik untuk mempersiapkan masa depan adalah dengan belajar dari masa lalu. Namun sangat disayangkan bagi mereka yang gagal karena mereka lebih sering mengingat kejadian yang menyedihkan dalam hidup mereka bukannya prestasi pribadi atau keberhasilan yang pernah diraihnya.

Mereka seringkali memandang kegagalan mereka sebagai bukti buruk citra diri mereka. Banyak penelitian yang menemukan bahwa semakin banyak seseorang mampu mengingat dan berfokus pada kesuksesan yang pernah diraihnya, semakin tinggi rasa percaya dirinya untuk mengambil resiko baru untuk mengejar kesuksesan yang lebih besar lagi.

Carl Lewis, atlet legendaris dari AS, peraih 8 medali emas di Olimpiade 1984 Los Angeles, ketika diwawancarai oleh wartawan setelah 8 medali emas atas kemenangannya di cabang lompat jauh. Dengan rendah hati ia menceritakan bahwa 5 peserta lain mempunyai kesempatan untuk meraih medali emas dan Carl sendiri yakin bahwa kelima pesaingnya sebenarnya juga mampu melewati lompatan terjauhnya, namun ketika ditanya kenapa ia yang berhasil memenangkan pertandingan itu, Lewis menjawab selain mempraktekkan positive self-talk terhadap dirinya, kemenangannya ia raih karena 7 medali emas yang diraih sebelumnya yang memperkuat sekaligus meyakinkan dirinya untuk menang. Carl Lewis didukung dengan bukti-bukti sukses yang terekam kuat di dalam pikirannya. Rasa percaya dirinya melambung jauh melampaui pesaing-pesaing lainnya. Rasa takut kalah dan stres hilang ketika didukung dengan rasa percaya diri dan bukti kesuksesan yang kuat.

Jika Carl Lewis mampu meraih medali emas hanya dengan berfokus pada pikiran kesuksesan yang pernah diraihnya, kitapun dapat menggunakan kesuksesan masa lalu. Temukanlah kesuksesan masa lalu Anda, tidak peduli besar atau kecil, tetapi sesuatu yang dapat membuat Anda bangga dan gunakanlah kesuksesan ini sebagai batu lompatan untuk meraih kesuksesan berikutnya.

Step 6:
Talk Positive to Yourself
Afirmasi positif terbukti mampu meningkatkan semangat dan citr diri seseorang. Ada 2 jenis afirmasi positif:
*Yang pertama adalah menggunakan kata-kata positif yang dibentuk dari ciptaannya sendiri, contoh: “Saya yang terbaik”, “Saya pasti bisa”. Afirmasi ini tidak perlu didukung dengan bukti nyata namun terbukti mampu menciptakan dorongan semangat. Namun ada satu kelemahan dari afirmasi yang satu ini, yaitu ia hanya mampu “memulai” semangat dan durasi bertahannya pendek.
*Yang kedua jauh lebih dahsyat yaitu afirmasi yang datangnya dari dalam diri kita dengan menjalankan gairah hidup kita. Afirmasi ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan menemukan fakta-fakta masa lalu yang pernah terjadi dalam diri kita. Dengan mengingat keberhasilan dan kebahagiaan kita menjalankan panggilan hidup ini, afirmasi ini mampu bertahan dalam durasi yang lebih panjang.

Berbicara dengan diri sendiri secara positif adalah suatu tehnik yang dapat membantu para juara untuk tetap berada di jalur yang benar. Brian Tracy pernah berkata bahwa setiap orang sukses selalu memakai positive self-talk untuk memotivasi diri mereka mencapai puncak kesuksesan. Janganlah khawatir dan merasa canggung menggunakan tehnik ini, mungkin orang-orang di sekeliling Anda merasa ada yang aneh dalam diri Anda namun teruslah melakukannya karena saya yakin Anda akan mampu meningkatkan citra diri Anda melalui tips yang satu ini.

Step 7:
Action...Action...Action...
Anda tidak akan memiliki self-esteem yang tinggi jika Anda hanya menjadi penonton di pinggir lapangan dan menghindar dari setiap tantangan yang diberikan hidup ini kepada Anda. Tidaklah cukup dengan berkata-kata positif mengenai diri Anda di depan cermin seperti, “Saya pasti bisa”. Jika Anda tidak mengambil tindakan, rasa percaya diri Anda akan surut. Ambillah tindakan, apapun hasilnya nanti Anda akan merasa bangga sekaligus akan meningkatkan citra diri Anda. Jika Anda gagal untuk maju ke depan karena takut akan kegagalan, Anda akan merasa frustasi dan tidak senang, hal ini akan menurunkan rasa percaya diri Anda. Hadapilah ketakutan Anda mulai hari ini dengan mengambil langkah awal dan nantikanlah citra diri positif positif muncul dalam diri Anda.

Summary
Sejalan dengan bertumbuhnya rasa percaya diri, Anda akan lebih berani mengambil resiko dan lebih berani menghadapi kegagalan. Anda tidak akan terlalu memikirkan apa yang dikatakan orang lain mengenai diri Anda. Anda akan lebih sukses dalam hidup Anda. Rasa percaya diri yang tinggi akan membawa kedamaian dan kebahagiaan dihati karena Anda bangga menjadi diri Anda yang sebenarnya.
